Australian Shepherd Breeder, Sales, Puppies | Bayou Billiot's Australian Shepherds

The following pups/dogs are from Bristol and Spritz’s litter born May 11, 2008.

BAYOU BILLIOT’S BEAR. Sold to Mr. Terry Butts, Lake Charles, LA

“Bear is a real smart dog. He goes everywhere I go. He rides in the truck and on the tractor with me just about every day.  He sits by my chair while I’m watching TV and lies by the bedroom door all night while I sleep.  He knows a lot of tricks and listens real well.  He even goes into local country store with me to visit.  He will sit or lie down by me until its time to go. He is a good dog. I hope I have him at least another 10 years. If I want another dog I am coming right back to you.  I tell everyone about where I got him and recommend they get a dog from you too.”

Thank you, Terry

BAYOU BILLIOT’S CALLIE. Sold to Dr. and Mrs. Robert Wellborn, Lake Charles, LA

“Callie has been a great addition to our family. She is very special because of her personality and intelligence.  She learned very quickly at a young age to be obedient.  She is a house pet and does not go in certain rooms or get on certain rugs, ever.  I stay outside most everyday and Callie stays with me wherever I go.  She is always close by and moves when I move. She is a loving dog and likes to be close to one of us at all times.”

Thanks, Pat and Robert.

BAYOU BILLIOT’S IRIS. Sold to Mr. and Mrs. Robin Kelly, Auburn, AL

“Run Iris Run. Iris came to live with us after She "picked me" during Hurricane Ike when her dam and sire, siblings and owners evacuated from LA to AL to our house.  She was 4 months old and was an instant member of our pack. We have 2 Boykin spaniels that are Iris's buddies along with all her people including my wife and I and a slew of friends.  I am a marathon runner and I knew that Iris would be the canine running companion that I always dreamed of.  And she is!  We run together and then she wants more.  I couldn't ask for a sweeter, more attentive partner to share the road with.  Although running is her main job, she is also great at patrolling the property for squirrels and chipmunks.  Iris loves all people after she meets them and is a great alarm system for those we don't know.  We love our Iris and she never tells a bad joke on a training run!”

BAYOU BILLIOT’S BELLE D'EAU OPHELIA. Sold to Jennifer McCourt, Remus, MI

"Bayou Billiot's Belle d'Eau Ophelia came into my life as a four month old puppy, and she quickly became the center of my family! With her fabulous comic personality, gorgeous coloring, and terrific manners, she has won the heart of all my friends and family, as she charms every person and animal she meets. Whenever we go out into public it seems at least half of the people who pass by us comment on how lovely she is and what spectacular and unique light colored eyes she has. What a beautiful, well mannered dog! I have yet to see her fail at anything. She is very athletic, loves playing frisbee and has a strong herding instinct.

Living on a lake, I also introduced her to water as a puppy and she loves swimming and jumping off the dock. I even entered her in a dock diving competition at about 8 months old. She out-jumps a lot of Retrievers! She has also excelled in obedience classes and agility classes over the past year and I plan to compete with her next year when she turns 2. Along with all that, she is very attentive, eager to please, and learns very quickly, no matter what I throw at her. She is a very intelligent animal! She knows and performs at least twenty different tricks, flies through all of the agility obstacles, and always stays within sight distance of me, ready to come the minute I call her, even off leash. She is simply the best dog I have ever owned."

”I love this dog to death and want everyone to know what outstanding pups you raise!

Jennifer

BAYOU BILLIOT’S CARLY. Sold to Judy Haynes, Houston, TX now Columbia, SC.

“I adopted Carly (my love!) and can't imagine life without her now! After searching for the most wonderful companion I could find, Carly became my choice through much deliberation and time. She is incredibly alert, enthusiastic, clever, and loving. She stole my heart the minute I laid eyes on her! Just not any Aussie would do for me. I wanted one that would have the energy of an Aussie, but stable enough to share my one bedroom apartment with me. I wanted one that would be affectionate, but not clingy and apprehensive. I also wanted one that would be smart and able to reason so we could play games and spend quality time together! One important goal I have is to train her to do volunteer work with me at nursing homes and visit children in the hospital. Carly has surpassed all of my dreams and hopes in finding the perfect "little girl'! Also, in the adoption process her breeder, Diane, has become my good friend as well. It doesn't matter what concern or question I might have, even after a year and a half, Diane has the patience and understanding of the Aussies to guide me. You wouldn't believe the care and concern she has shown my Carly & me! It's just one big, happy family to Diane, with never ending expertise that she extends well beyond the call of duty as a breeder! All I can say is, I truly am blessed to have what I have found in the purchase of my priceless Aussie!”

With genuine love,
Judy Haynes

BAYOU BILLIOT’S RANGER. Sold to Nicole Wasson-Nelson, Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

“This is my boy Ranger.  He's always underfoot in the kitchen, whether it's under the baby's highchair or next to my feet, while I'm washing dishes.  This big guy (now 60 lbs) loves his family and prefers to be smack dab in the mix. If he could, he'd be on the couch on my lap! While outside, he is an excellent watch dog and patrols the yard like a pro.  He sounds the alarm when strangers are near.  At night, with the recommendation, "Let's go nite-nite", he steps in his crate at the foot of my bed and goes to sleep.

What I love about him most is that he's always ready to go-go-go.  He's a fun dog, with a paternal streak in him.  When a stranger (be it man or dog) gets too close to my girls, he assumes the role of "protector" with a sense of quiet dignity, yet will bounce back to his playful side, once order has been restored.

I'm looking forward to watching him grow.  He's an awesome addition to my family!”

BAYOU BILLIOT’S BOGUE CHITTO.  Sold to a Sulphur, LA Family.

Due to some extremely unfortunate circumstances “Bo” was hit and killed by a car when he was a year old.  He was a very intelligent, high energy, loving dog.  He loved to swim, roll balls like his father, play chase and fetch, and blow bubbles in the water trough.  He was very social like his mother and loved being with people.

BAYOU BILLIOT’S TIGER. Sold to Jeff Byerly, Sanford, FL.

BAYOU BILLIOT’S RUBY.  Sold to Denise and Dewitte Rollins, Oakdale, LA
